The TopLaxRecruits Preseason Western Girls’ Rankings:Western Girsl rankings

1. Saint Ignatius Prep (CA) 17-3
The Wildcats went undefeated in California games last year and return several top Division I players.

2. Colorado Academy (CO) 16-3
The Mustangs won the Colorado state title and return a solid group of players.

3. Novato (CA) 22-3
The Hornets won the North Coast Section Division I and captured their first MCAL league championship.

4. La Costa Canyon (CA) 20-3
The Lady Mavericks won the San Diego championship. Despite losing some strong seniors the Mavericks will battle for another title.

5. San Ramon Valley (CA) 18-2
The Lady Wolves reached the North Coast Section Division I semifinals and appear ready to contend again.

6. Cherry Creek (CO) 16-3.
The Lady Bruins lost in the state finals but have many key returnees.

7. Granite Bay HS (CA) 18-2
The Grizzlies fell only to Novato last year in the California games and return strong with a young but talented team.

8. Amador Valley (CA) 15-9
The Dons, 22-1, in 2014, lost a lot of close games last year, but should again be a contender in North Coast Section Division I.

9. Lake Oswego (OR) 14-4
The Lakers fell short of the state title last year, but return experienced players and a starting goalie.

10. Mater Dei (CA) 15-4
The Monarchs have the talent to challenge in the South with Under Armour Underclass picks Grace Houser (Cal commit) and Kenzie Wallevand (Fresno State commit) leading the way.

The Mustangs take the top spot after knocking off St. Ignatius Prep in a sweet 7-5 victory. The defending state champs take on Sacred Heart Prep (CA) today.

2. Novato (CA) 4-0
The Hornets routed Monte Vista, Danville 21-2. Today, they take on Marin Catholic.

3. St. Ignatius Prep (CA) 4-1
The Wildcats suffered a 7-5 loss to Colorado Academy 5-7. They play again April 1 vs. Midwest No. 1 Loyola Academy (IL).

4. California High (CA) 8-0
The Grizzlies crushed Marin Catholic 18-9. They will play Friday against Amador Valley.

5. Cherry Creek (CO) 2-0.
The Lady Bruins defeated Palmer Ridge 16-9. They will play La Costa Canyon (CA) April 1.

6. Mater Dei (CA) 8-0
The Monarchs handed Torrey Pines its first loss of the season, 8-6. Mater Dei will play Mission Viejo April 4th.

7. La Costa Canyon (CA) 4-0

The Wolverines defeated Eastlake 12-6.

The Hornets gear for key games against No. 4 St. Ignatius Prep (Friday) and No. 10 La Costa Canyon (April 14).

3. California High (CA) 11-0
The Grizzlies remain perfect with a 19-9 win over Redwood.

4. St. Ignatius Prep (CA) 5-3
The Wildcats have racked up a solid win against St. Anne’s Belfield (VA) and two losses against other nationally-ranked ranked teams: St. Stephen’s & Agnes (DC) and Episcopal Academy (PA)

5. Cherry Creek (CO) 3-0.
The Lady Bruins defeated La Costa Canyon (CA), 13-5.

3. St. Ignatius Prep (CA) 8-3
The Wildcats survived a 6-5 win over La Costa Canyon, days after their stunning 7-5 win over Long Island power Chaminade (N.Y.). They will face Foothill-Santa Ana tomorrow

4. Regis Jesuit (CO) 4-1
The Raiders, after an 8-6 loss to la Costa Canyon (CA), face St. Margaret Episcopal (CA) today.

5. Torrey Pines (CA) 7-1
The Falcons beat ranked Corona Del Mar in a nail-biting 9-8 win in OT. Their only loss of the season is to No. 4 Regis Jesuit (CO).

6. Mercer Island (WA) 5-0
The Islanders shut down Lincoln (OR) 12-7. They face Skyline on Friday.

7. Bellevue (WA) 6-2
The Wolverines were handed two heartbreaking losses to Long Island powers Massapequa, 13-10, and Garden City, 5-4.

The Golden Eagles beat Castle View, 11-5 and play Rock Canyon Friday.

The Sea Kings devoured Tesoro, 17-6. Friday, they will suit up against Edison.

The Grizzlies toppled Monte Vista, 11-7.

The Lady Bruins routed Cherokee Trail, 21-4 and Centaurus, 18-4. They play tonight at Grandview.

5. Mater Dei (CA) 11-0
The Monarchs remain undefeated, handing Great Oak a 23-6 loss.

6. St. Ignatius Prep (CA) 7-4
The Wildcats lost to ranked Novato, but handed Sam Ramon Valley a, 11-8 loss.
